...'til death do us part
Day of the Dead parties and wedding themes are becoming popular all over the U.S., and other parts of the world because couples are embracing the beautiful concept of the holiday. Day of the Dead reminds us that life is short, the cycle of life marches on, our loving relationships will last a lifetime and the spirits of the dead are always with us.
Couples use Day of the Dead and Sugar Skull imagery because they like what it means. Eternal Love and Til Death Do Us Part are sayings with special meaning. It's a great way to celebrate life as a couple starts a new life together. It's fun, colorful and a joyous way to throw a wedding.
We had such a celebration at Grandview Lodge recently for a couple married for 10 years who renewed their wedding vows. The decorations and table settings will well thought-out and abundant throughout the lodge for this ceremony and reception. Filmore and Crystal, their children, parents, and friends all embraced this festive event. As part of the service, the bride's father performed a ceremony by asking the couple and their children to hold hands in a circle, while he sprinkled salt around the outside of the circle to represent family unity and protection.
